Have you always wanted to play the piano for fun?  Or to entertain children?   Or to sing along to?  Did you take some lessons as a child but feel as if you’ve forgotten everything or found notation difficult to understand?   Well, the “chord approach” to playing piano just might be for you!   Once you’ve learned a few chords, and our techniques on how to move them around the keyboard, you’ll be able to play along with 100’s of pop, folk, holiday and children’s songs.  The CHORD APPROACH to learning piano is similar to the way most guitar players play.  Using chord theory enables the adult learner to quickly become successful at piano playing and improvising without have to rely on reading staff notes (at least, not many!) This class is appropriate for brand new beginners, as well as people who took lessons as a child, but didn't keep up their piano playing.
