Toddler Music

MUSIKGARTEN's Family Music for Toddlers

For ages 14 months to 4 with parent / caregiver

Sitting still?  "Paying attention"?

Ummm ... no.

Novato Piano School's toddler program provides children the opportunity to learn the way they NEED to learn: through movement and play and with a loving caregiver at their side.

You and your child will experience ACCLERANDO and RITARTDANDO while we sing about trains, we'll explore QUARTER, HALF and EIGHTH notes through rhythm echo games and we'll even talk about the FERMATA while we sing "Happy Birthday" to a classmate!

Each week the adult participants will learn specific games and activities designed to nurture the child's overall development while building music skills and literacy.

When music and movement are a natural, joyous part of childhood, children benefit greatly in many areas of life.

Language development, self expression, memory, concentration, social interaction, fine motor skills, listening, problem solving, teamwork, goal setting, and coordination are all impacted by early music education.

What's more, as a child learns to play music, other areas of their development — creativity, family bonding, self-esteem, confidence, emotional development — are also positively impacted.

Musikgarten's philosophy is steeped in this understanding.  Music immerses the child in language, evokes movement, stimulates the brain, and fosters physical coordination — all in a group setting that builds community — a truly holistic experience!
